Lizzo has reached her limit with body shamers, setting firm boundaries for herself and encouraging others to do the same for their mental well-being. The singer has made notable strides in her health journey, choosing to abandon Ozempic in favor of a slower, more sustainable path toward achieving her body transformation goals.
Recently, Lizzo opened up on Instagram about a hurtful joke directed at her body, calling out the persistent scrutiny she faces. She wrote, "Never let anyone shame you for what you do with your body." She emphasized that no matter a person's size, there will always be opinions, and the key is prioritizing personal peace of mind.
She added, "If I get a BBL, mind your business. If I lose 100lbs, mind your business. If I gain it back and more... mind your business." Lizzo paired the statement with a photo of herself in a yellow and black snakeskin bikini, proudly showcasing her figure.
The post garnered strong support from fans and peers alike. Trisha Paytas commented, "You look insanely amazing. People don't want to see anyone doing good these days." Many others echoed this sentiment, praising Lizzo's confidence and encouraging her to continue loving herself.
Some fans also shared personal stories inspired by Lizzo's transformation. One fan revealed losing over 300 pounds after seeing Lizzo embrace her own journey, highlighting the singer's positive influence on others self-improvement efforts.
Lizzo also addressed the systemic erasure of plus-size people in the fashion and entertainment industries. In a Substack essay, she criticized the rising popularity of weight loss drugs and the diminishing visibility of plus-size models, noting that despite her weight loss, she still fits in the plus-size category.
She explained that her decision to step away from Ozempic was challenging but necessary, describing the process as "mind over matter." Beyond physical changes, Lizzo focused on holistic self-care, including skincare, dental work, and overall wellness practices.
The singer detailed her disciplined routine, including dietary adjustments, daily cardio, sauna sessions, and the guidance of a chef to maintain a calorie-controlled diet. She also practiced meditation, yoga, acupuncture, and reduced social media exposure to support mental and physical health.
Lizzo reassured fans that her journey is ongoing and emphasized that the transformation is gradual. "I'm still wearing plus-size clothing. I have the same rolls, the same belly, the same thighs, I think I'm just a smaller version," she noted, reinforcing the importance of patience and self-care in her health evolution.
Through her candid reflections, Lizzo continues to challenge body-shaming culture, promoting acceptance, self-love, and mindful living.
