Neil Patrick Harris expressed surprise at his appearance in a recent selfie shared by Abby Lee Miller on Instagram. The actor, currently performing in the Broadway revival of the Tony-winning play Art, commented under Millers post asking why his face appeared so heavily smoothed and airbrushed. Ummm what did you do to my face..? Harris wrote.
The photo shows Miller and Harris smiling outside the Music Box Theatre, where Art is staged. While it seems like a typical selfie at first glance, Harris skin is noticeably blurred, giving him an almost unnatural look.
Miller shared the selfie as part of a series of images from her visit to a recent performance of the play. She captioned the post, If you truly want to LAUGH OUT LOUD!!! Then go see @artonbway with these incredible comedic actors @nph @j_corden and @bobby_cannavale. On TV they are superstars, live on stage - their timing is impeccable, and in person afterward - such gracious kind gentlemen! Thank you for an incredible evening [of] NY Theater!
Harris co-stars James Corden and Bobby Cannavale were also photographed with Miller, but their faces did not appear altered by filters.
Fans quickly noticed the dramatic change in Harris appearance, flooding the comments to joke about his yassified look. One fan wrote, Abby why did you do that to Neil , while another added, They bringing out wax models of Neil Patrick Harris to events now? Many speculated that Millers use of photo-editing apps like FaceTune may have unintentionally affected Harris face. Guys she edits her face so it also edit[s] the person. Neil, one user commented.
The playful discussion extended to other accounts, with the FaceTune Instagram account humorously commenting, Abby let me proof read your post next time baby gorgeous [sic], and the official Art account chimed in, Now THIS is a true work of art .
Art continues its Broadway run through December 21.
