Alyssa Farah Griffin returned to the panel of The View after being absent for three days due to a stomach virus. The 36-year-old co-host, who is six months pregnant with her first child, shared that she is now fully recovered.
Im feeling totally better but being sick while pregnant is a whole different level, she said after receiving a warm welcome from the other hosts during Thursdays broadcast.
Joy Behar then humorously teased Griffin by referencing claims about avoiding pain medication during pregnancy, telling her, No Tylenol for you! Griffin laughed and responded, Well, I cant have anything.
The panel also highlighted that Griffin will soon become the first co-host in several years to welcome a baby while on the show.

Analysis: Alyssa Farah Griffin's Return to The View Amid Pregnancy
Alyssa Farah Griffin’s return to The View after a three-day absence due to a stomach virus marks a noteworthy moment for both the show and her personal journey. The 36-year-old co-host, six months pregnant with her first child, shared her recovery experience, giving an honest glimpse into the challenges of being sick while pregnant. The struggle is uniquely intensified during pregnancy, as Griffin herself pointed out, acknowledging that it was "a whole different level." This candid statement resonates with many women who face similar hurdles during their pregnancies.
The light-hearted interaction with her co-host Joy Behar added a touch of humor, though it also subtly underscores the complex nature of pregnancy-related health issues. Griffin's mention of being unable to take typical medications, like Tylenol, highlights one of the many restrictions pregnant women face when it comes to self-care during illness.
Additionally, the announcement that Griffin will soon become the first co-host in years to have a baby while still on the show is a noteworthy development. It reflects the ongoing shift in workplace culture, where personal milestones, such as maternity, are more openly discussed and even celebrated. This moment is an opportunity for the panel and its audience to recognize the intersection of professional commitments and personal life, especially for women in the public eye.
As the show continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how Griffin balances her new role as a mother with her ongoing duties as a co-host. Her story may also inspire other women in similar positions to navigate their own challenges with resilience and transparency.
