Patrick Ball from 'The Pitt' Joins Gersh Talent Agency

Patrick Ball has officially signed with Gersh to handle his representation across all sectors. He has recently garnered significant acclaim for his role as Dr. Frank Langdon in the hit HBO Max medical drama The Pitt.

The show, which received 13 Emmy nominations during its first season, has been praised for its ensemble cast, including notable performances from Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, and Shawn Hatosy. Since making his television debut in a 2023 episode of Law & Order, Ball has quickly risen to prominence as a central figure in one of TVs most discussed series.

Created by R. Scott Gemmill and produced by John Wells, The Pitt focuses on the intense pressures faced by frontline healthcare workers at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Presented in a real-time format, the series follows doctors and nurses as they manage complex medical cases and personal challenges amid overcrowded conditions and limited resources.

Balls character, Dr. Langdon, is depicted as a dedicated and respected physician who collaborates closely with Dr. Michael Robby Robinavitch, played by Wyle. In the first season, Langdon confronts a major personal secret, and the upcoming second season, set to premiere in January, will explore the consequences of those revelations.

A Yale School of Drama MFA graduate (2022) and a BFA alum of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Ball refined his skills in classical theatre before moving to screen acting. Gersh highlights his precision and emotional intelligence as qualities that set him apart. His theater work includes leading roles at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, The Old Globe, Shakespeare Theatre Company, and most recently, the title role in Hamlet at the Mark Taper Forum.

In addition to Gersh, Ball is represented by Authentic Talent and Literary Management and the law firm Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
