‘Percy Jackson’ Enters ‘Fortnite’ Before Season 2 TV Debut

Camp Half-Blood is making its way into the Fortnite universe. Disney revealed on Saturday at the CCXP Brazil event in So Paulo that a new Fortnite island featuring characters from Percy Jackson and the Olympians will become available on December 9, just one day before the TV series second season debuts on December 10.

The interactive in-game location is named Percy Jackson: Siege of Monsters, a nod to The Sea of Monsters, the second book in Rick Riordans series and the basis for season two of the show. The islands design mirrors the layout of Camp Half-Blood, allowing players to step into the shoes of newly arrived demigods. Players can claim a cabin, develop special powers, and face off against mythological creatures like Scylla and Charybdis on the Sea of Monsters.

Bringing Percy Jackson and The Olympians into Fortnite has been an incredible experience, said Dan Shotz, co-showrunner and executive producer. Gamers can dive deeply into our world, be chosen by an Olympian god, embark on heroic quests, and battle legendary monsters. Every detail in Percy Jackson: Siege of Monsters was carefully crafted to honor both the Disney+ series and the fans of the books. We cant wait to see players embrace their inner demigod.

Key characters including Percy, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood will appear in the game. The experience also features side missions and mini-games inspired by the first two seasons of the series.

This Fortnite event is part of a wider campaign promoting the show, which recently saw the launch of Disneys official Percy Jackson online store. Siege of Monsters carries a Teen rating and is the result of a collaboration between Disney Branded Television, Disney Digital Entertainment, and the series executive producers: Shotz, Riordan, Craig Silverstein, and Jonathan Steinberg. The game is published by Disney and developed by Gauntlet using Unreal Engine for Fortnite.
