Rebecca Gayheart shares a kiss with Peter Morton following her breakup with Eric Dane

Rebecca Gayheart is entering a new chapter in her personal life. The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star, who shares children Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, with her estranged husband Eric Dane, was seen enjoying a night out with Hard Rock cofounder Peter Morton on December 3. The pair shared affectionate moments outside the Italian eatery E-Baldi in Beverly Hills.

Gayheart, 54, and Morton, 78, have been romantically linked since 2023 and have been spotted at various events, including the Chanel and Charles Finch pre-2025 Oscars dinner in March, though they have not publicly confirmed their relationship.

Recently, Gayheart discussed her ongoing relationship with Dane following his ALS diagnosis. On the November 17 episode of the Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen podcast, she said, I am trying to show them that we show up for people no matter what. He is our family. He is your father.

She added, We show up and we try to do it with dignity and grace and just get through it. We will get through it the best we can. Gayheart originally filed for divorce from Dane in 2018 after seven years of marriage but dismissed the filing in March 2025, shortly before Dane revealed his diagnosis.

Dane has also pursued new relationships since their separation, most recently appearing with filmmaker Janell Shirtcliff in June. Despite his health challenges, he continues to focus on acting, appearing in projects such as HBOs final season of Euphoria and Amazon MGM Studios Countdown.

Eric Dane Opens Up About ALS

In April 2025, Dane shared that he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He emphasized the importance of family support, saying, I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.

Dane has continued to work while managing the illness, noting that acting keeps him feeling sharp despite physical setbacks. He described first noticing weakness in his right hand, which gradually worsened and eventually led to his diagnosis after consultations with multiple specialists.

He described the disease's progression candidly, explaining that his left side remains functional while his right side has largely stopped working. Throughout this journey, he has relied heavily on Gayheart, who remains a steadfast supporter and close co-parent.

Family Focus Amid Health Challenges

Dane emphasized the importance of family time with his daughters, expressing frustration over how ALS may impact their lives. At the end of the day, all I want to do is spend time with my family and work a little bit, if I can, he shared. Despite missing the 2025 Emmys due to a hospital visit, he continues to advocate for ALS awareness and research, meeting with doctors and officials to support the cause.

As Gayheart and Morton explore their relationship, Dane remains focused on creating meaningful experiences with his family while raising awareness about ALS.
