Frank Gehry, widely recognized as one of the most groundbreaking architects of the modern era, has passed away at the age of 96. Celebrated for his bold and innovative architectural approach, Gehry's work redefined contemporary design.

He gained international acclaim with his striking Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, completed in 1997, which featured his signature use of titanium cladding. Long before this iconic project, Gehry had already established his reputation for unconventional creativity by transforming his own Santa Monica, California home using unconventional materials such as chain-link fencing, plywood, and corrugated steel.

Gehry is survived by his wife, Berta Isabel Aguilera, their two sons, Alejandro and Samuel, as well as two daughters, Leslie and Brina, from his first marriage, according to his chief of staff, Meaghan Lloyd.
