Scorsese and 'Billions' creators team up for new Las Vegas drama on Netflix

Netflix revealed plans for a new Las Vegas-based drama series on Wednesday, though the project has not yet been given a title. The series will be written and showrun by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the creative minds behind Billions, with Martin Scorsese serving as an executive producer.

The upcoming eight-episode series, with each episode lasting approximately an hour, will follow Robert "Bobby Red" Redman, the proprietor of a contemporary Las Vegas hotel. This marks a return to the casino world for Scorsese, who famously directed Casino, a film depicting the mob's rise and fall in Las Vegas.

Koppelman and Levien are known for their work on Rounders, the poker drama, and Ocean's Thirteen, a sequel centered on a casino heist. Production details, casting, and the release schedule for the new series have not yet been disclosed.

Additional executive producers on the project include Julie and Rick Yorn, Paul Schiff, Beth Schachter, and Kerry Orent, alongside Scorsese, Levien, and Koppelman.
