Shawn Hatosy cast alongside Olivia Colman & Brie Larson in ‘Cry Wolf’ FX Limited Series

Following his recent Emmy victory for The Pitt, Shawn Hatosy is set to join Olivia Colman and Brie Larson in Cry Wolf, a limited series on FX created by Sarah Treem. The series is an adaptation of the Danish drama Ulven Kommer by Maja Jul Larsen and centers on a psychological family thriller.

The storyline follows Kath (Colman), a dedicated social worker, and April (Larson), a mother whose life is upended when her teenage daughter, Mia, accuses someone of abuse. The accusation forces both women into extreme circumstances as they confront the complexity and emotional strain of the situation.

Hatosy will portray Aprils husband and Mias stepfather, a key figure in the controversy surrounding the abuse claims. The series is produced by FX Productions with Treem serving as showrunner. Olivia Colman participates through her South of the River Pictures, alongside producers Melissa Bernstein of Special Interests and Brie Larson.

Hatosy recently won the Emmy for Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his recurring role as Dr. Jack Abbot, a combat veteran and physician on HBO Maxs The Pitt. He will return for the shows second season, premiering January 8, and will also direct an upcoming episode. The Pitt marks his third collaboration with John Wells Productions, following roles on Southland and Animal Kingdom.

In addition to Cry Wolf, Hatosy will appear alongside Samara Weaving and Sarah Michelle Gellar in Searchlights Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, set to release on April 10. He is represented by Paradigm and Trademark Talent.
