Taylor Swift may no longer be considered hot by the former president, yet her music continues to resonateeven with members of his own administration. Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, revealed her top five artists of 2025 on Instagram Stories shortly after Spotify unveiled its annual Wrapped feature on Wednesday, December 3.

While the first four spots were dominated by Morgan Wallen and Christian artists Forrest Frank, Brandon Lake, and Anne Wilson, Swift appeared at number five, standing out as the lone pop icon with liberal leanings.

Leavitt did not comment directly on Swifts inclusion, instead decorating the post with a cowboy hat, cross, and music note emojis. Despite being a somewhat unexpected fan, she is far from alone. Swift closed out 2025 as Spotifys most-streamed artist in the United States and the second-most-streamed globally, just behind Bad Bunny.

These numbers contrast sharply with Donald Trumps earlier statements, in which he claimed Swift had lost her popularity. In May, he posted on Truth Social, questioning whether her fame had waned since he declared, I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT. The twice-impeached former president also suggested that Swifts support of Democratic politicians would drive Republican fans away.

Following Swifts endorsement of Kamala Harris in September, Trump commented, Shes a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat, and shell probably pay a price for it in the marketplace. Despite this, her musics streaming dominance shows her influence remains strong and widespread.
