The Beatles’ ‘Anthology 4’ Enters Top 10 on 5 Billboard Album Charts

The Beatles legendary Anthology album series returns to the Billboard charts, three decades after the first installment, Anthology 1, debuted in 1995. The latest release, Anthology 4, has secured top 10 positions on five different Billboard charts dated Dec. 6: Top Album Sales (No. 9), Top Current Album Sales (No. 9), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 7), Top Rock Albums (No. 6), and Indie Store Album Sales (No. 3).

The 36-track collection includes 13 tracks that have never been released before, drawn from The Beatles archival vaults, while the remaining songs were previously available on reissued editions.

Anthology 4 is available on vinyl, CD, digital download, and streaming platforms. In the U.S., it earned approximately 17,000 equivalent album units for the week ending Nov. 27, with traditional sales of 13,000 copies, including both physical and digital purchases. The album also reached No. 48 on the Billboard 200, a position shared by The Anthology Collection, a boxed set compiling all four Anthology albums.

The release coincides with the 25th-anniversary reissue of The Beatles Anthology book and the streaming premiere of the Beatles Anthology documentary series on Disney+, which began on Nov. 26. Originally airing in 1995 as an eight-part series on ABC-TV, the documentary has been expanded to nine episodes for the 2025 edition.

The first three Anthology albums, released in 1995 and 1996, each reached No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales charts. This year, Anthology 4 joins a competitive top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, where Stray Kids DO IT debuts at No. 1, the Wicked: For Good soundtrack enters at No. 2, and Aerosmith and YUNGBLUDs One More Time opens at No. 3.
