Dylan Dreyer, the meteorologist from the "Today" show, and her former husband, NBC cameraman Brian Fichera, have finalized the sale of their New York City condominium for $1.8 million, resulting in a $500,000 loss compared to the $2.3 million they originally paid in 2016, according to Realtor.com. The couple had initially listed the two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for $2.5 million.
The 1,491-square-foot Battery Park residence was purchased months before the birth of their eldest son, Calvin, in late 2016. The family later welcomed two more boys, Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3. Following Dreyers separation announcement eight months after the listing, the apartment was briefly removed from the market before reappearing with a lowered price of $1.99 million.
Constructed in 2008, the apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Battery Park and oak flooring throughout the living space. The kitchen is outfitted with gray cabinetry, marble countertops, and modern appliances. The home was customized to accommodate three young children, including a notable three-level bunk bed setup in the boys' room, which drew attention for its innovative design.
Dreyer had previously discussed the apartments compact layout, emphasizing the importance of efficient use of space. She shared on social media that, despite suggestions to move to a larger home, the apartment continued to meet their familys needs.
The master suite offers a spacious layout, complete with a five-fixture bathroom featuring Crema Luna limestone, teak cabinetry, and Waterworks fixtures. The dining area comfortably seats ten, enhancing the homes capacity for gatherings.
Residents of the building benefit from extensive amenities including a 24-hour doorman, an indoor pool with natural light, hot tub, sauna, steam room, fitness center, childrens playroom, and a 7,000-square-foot rooftop deck with barbecues, wet bar, and private cabanas.
Reflecting on their time in the apartment, Dreyer shared photos of the boys bedroom evolution and expressed gratitude for the memories created there. She noted that while the triple bunk bed is gone, her children have a lifetime of love and opportunities ahead.
The sale aligns with Dreyers move to suburban life, similar to colleagues Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. She has shared glimpses of her family adapting to their new surroundings, though the exact location remains private. Dreyer and Fichera also maintain a beach house in Point Lookout, New York, purchased in 2021 for $2.5 million.
