Watch: Alex and Poppy reevaluate their friendship in 'People We Meet'

Netflix has unveiled a 2-and-a-half-minute teaser for its forthcoming romantic comedy People We Meet on Vacation. The story centers on Poppy, a free-spirited adventurer, and Alex, a creature of habit. Despite living in separate cities, they have maintained a close friendship for ten years, meeting every summer for shared vacations.

The trailer hints at a turning point in their relationship, as both begin to question a truth that seems obvious to everyone else: might they actually be destined for romance rather than just friendship?

Scheduled for release on January 9, the film adapts Emily Henry's bestselling novel. Tom Blyth portrays Alex, while Emily Bader takes on the role of Poppy. The ensemble cast also features Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil, Lucien Laviscount, Lukas Gage, Miles Heizer, Tommy Do, Alice Lee, Alan Ruck, and Molly Shannon.

The preview showcases Alex and Poppy traveling to different destinations, enjoying fun adventures, and gradually realizing that their bond might hold more than friendship, even if they havent fully acknowledged it yet.
