Watch: 'Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' trailer showcases the humorous side of 'Game of Thrones'

HBO unveiled the first look at A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms on Thursday during a CCXP Brazil panel. The series is set to debut on January 18 at 10 p.m. EST.

Taking place a century before the events of Game of Thrones, the trailer emphasizes a lighter, more comedic tone compared to both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. Sir Duncan "Dunk" the Tall navigates the castle with awkward charm, insisting he is not sad while questioning whether his dramatic speech went poorly. The character is portrayed by Peter Claffey.

Dunks companion, Egg, is played by Dexter Sol Ansell. The Targaryen lineage also appears, featuring Bertie Carvel as Baelor, Sam Spruell as Maekar, Finn Bennett as Aerion, and Henry Ashton as Daeron.

The cast includes Daniel Ings, Danny Webb, Shaun Thomas, Edward Ashley, Tanzyn Crawford, Youssef Kerkour, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, and Daniel Monks. A dragons fiery appearance in the trailer hints that the six-episode, half-hour series will showcase exciting fantasy action early on.

The show is adapted from George R.R. Martins novellas, with Martin collaborating alongside Ira Parker in creating the series.
