The Warwick Crown Court is hearing the case of Reanne Coulson, whose screams were reportedly heard by a neighbor before her body was found in Coventry. Two men, Mohammed Durnion and Adam Moore, face charges related to her violent death, with the trial examining the sequence of events and forensic evidence.
The Warwick Crown Court is currently hearing the case surrounding the death of a woman whose cries were reportedly heard by a nearby resident before her body was discovered. The incident occurred in Coventry, with the trial focusing on the actions of two men, Mohammed Durnion, 42, and Adam Moore, 39, who stand accused in connection with her death.
On the night of May 21st, officers responded to reports at Durnion's residence on Paynes Lane. Investigators noted that Reanne Coulson, the victim, was missing from her apartment despite a thorough search, including her mattress, which showed no trace of her presence. Her body was ultimately located about five weeks later on the outskirts of Coventry.
Durnion denies the charge of murder. Moore, from Marlcroft, Willenhall, Coventry, denies assisting in disposing of Coulson's body. The timeline established in court indicates that Coulson was last seen at St. Michaels church, appearing in good spirits and interacting normally with staff. Approximately one hour later, a resident living around 350 yards from the church reported hearing a woman screaming, which led to an immediate 999 emergency call.
Prosecutor Tim Cray KC presented allegations that Durnion concealed Coulson's body under a mattress to evade police detection and later transported her in a suitcase to Binley Woods. Moore is alleged to have helped bury the body in a shallow grave. Durnion admits to being the last person to see Coulson alive and to burying her, claiming he believed she was a sex worker, though he denies any sexual contact on that night.
The prosecution described the attack as a deliberate act against a vulnerable woman by a physically strong man. Evidence presented includes the discovery of Coulson's body on June 27th, showing injuries including a fractured skull, neck and head trauma, and burns across the torso and face. These findings suggest a violent death and later attempts to destroy physical evidence.
Court testimony detailed the sequence of events leading to Coulson's death and the post-mortem findings regarding the timing and nature of her injuries. Surveillance and forensic evidence showed the searches of Durnion's residence yielded no immediate trace of Coulson, emphasizing the calculated nature of the crime. The jury is reviewing these details meticulously as the case unfolds.
The investigation traced the events from the initial emergency call, the empty apartment, and the eventual discovery of Coulson’s body in Binley Woods. Evidence presented in court included witness accounts, forensic analysis, and digital recordings capturing the victim's final moments as heard by a neighbor. The trial continues to examine the roles of both accused men in the events leading to Coulson’s death.
Updates on the case are ongoing as Warwick Crown Court proceedings continue, with the jury considering the full scope of evidence and testimony surrounding the disappearance and murder of Reanne Coulson in Coventry.
