Incident Details
On 18 February at 20:42 GMT, Dorset Police received a report regarding a single-vehicle collision. The accident involved a black Volvo V70, which was traveling on Morden Road in the vicinity of Wareham, Dorset.
Joshua Blake, an 18-year-old passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver, a man in his twenties, sustained serious injuries and remains under hospital care. Another teenage passenger was also seriously injured and continues to receive treatment in hospital. Dorset Police confirmed that officers are actively supporting the families impacted by the accident.

Joshua Blake’s family highlighted that he had recently celebrated his 18th birthday prior to the fatal accident. In their tribute, they described him as a young man who was deeply cherished and admired. He is survived by his parents, Martin and Caroline; his brother Samuel; his sister Chloe; as well as extended family and a large group of friends.
The family shared that Joshua had a keen interest in supercars and enjoyed riding his motorbike. They emphasized the profound loss, stating that he will be "greatly missed" and "always remembered by all who knew him."
