La DoubleJ Pre-Fall 2026: Double or Triple the Style

Keeping pace with J.J. Martin is no small feat. The dynamic editor-turned-entrepreneur recently inaugurated a new store in Dallas, attended a La DoubleJ event in Paris, and was preparing for another professional trip to Athens, all while meeting with WWD to showcase her latest collection.

Looking ahead to 2026, Martin has already marked several key dates, including major brand activations at the new Palm Beach, Florida location and the Saint Moritz boutique in January and February. The Upper East Side store in New York is also slated to open in March.

Martins busy schedule and the brands retail expansion require a diverse range of pieces, evident in the full display of La DoubleJs collection at the Milan showroom. The pre-fall 2026 lineupconsidered by Martin as high summer due to its retail timingfocuses on two main themes: exploring new fabric weights and emphasizing versatility.

Designed with ease and travel in mind, Martin revisited La DoubleJs bestsellers, adapting them for lightweight, vacation-ready wear. Silk twill was replaced with cotton voile in printed caftans and bohemian-style frocks, while terrycloth offered a playful, luxurious alternative in dresses adorned with bold geometric prints. Ruched stretch tulle and jersey frocks provided comfort and flattering silhouettes, suitable for both beachwear and evening outings.

Linen and macram separates, along with dgrad color effects, continued the theme of effortless summer style, while thicker cotton and solid hues were chosen for transitional pieces. Reversible designs, such as fringed ponchos and printed scarf tops, allowed multiple styling options. Detachable feather collars added further adaptability, offering both casual and dressed-up looks.

As Martin summarized it: DoubleJ, double the way.
