West Midlands Police officers came to the aid of two kittens after receiving reports of a deserted car. The young cats were discovered inside a vehicle left in Sparkhill, Birmingham. Following a brief health check, they were taken to Moseley police station for care.

Thanks to the kindness of an officers friend, the kittens have found permanent homes. They were named Martin and Courtney in honor of PC Martin Knott and PC Courtney Reynolds, the officers who rescued them.

PC Knott shared, Finding the two kittens in the car was completely unexpected, and we were determined to make sure they had a safe and happy future.

The abandoned vehicle where the kittens were found was located in Sparkbrook, Birmingham.

This incident highlights a routine but important aspect of police work: responding to reports that may appear minor yet involve immediate welfare concerns. Officers acted promptly after receiving information about a deserted vehicle, which directly led to the discovery of the kittens inside.

The animals were given an initial health check and temporarily housed at Moseley police station, indicating standard care procedures were followed. The subsequent rehoming was made possible through personal contacts, rather than formal animal services.

The clarification that the vehicle was located in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, provides accurate geographic context to the incident. The naming of the kittens reflects acknowledgment of the officers involved and concludes the case without further outstanding actions.
