Kourtney Kardashian Shares Her Feelings of Being Unprepared to Become a Mom at 30

Kourtney Kardashian Barker has shared honest insights about the challenges she encountered when she became a mother at 30. On a recent episode of The Kardashians, the 46-year-old reality star revealed that she felt unprepared and lacked guidance before the birth of her eldest son, Mason, now 15.

When I had Mason at 30, nobody really explained anything to me. I didnt read parenting books, but I relied on my instincts and leaned towards attachment parenting, she confessed in the show.

Kardashian Barker explained that her approach became more deliberate with her second child, daughter Penelope, born in 2012. Before Penelope, I did read about attachment parenting and approached it more consciously, she said. Even though I was working, I didnt think taking time off was an option. Now, I have the flexibility to choose not to work, and Im grateful to pursue what truly matters to me.

Kardashian Barker and her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, are parents to a 2-year-old son, Rocky. She also has three childrenMason, Penelope, and Reignwith her ex-partner Scott Disick. Barker has two children, Landon and Alabama, with his former wife Shanna Moakler.

In October 2023, Kourtney addressed critics who questioned her decision to have Rocky at 44. She told Vanity Fair Italia, Those comments dont affect me. To those who say them, I just ask: How dare you question Gods plan? This pregnancy happened naturally, after Travis and I had stopped assisted fertility treatments for a year.

Earlier in August, she also dispelled rumors about another pregnancy. When a social media user suggested she might be expecting again during a family trip to Idaho, Kourtney humorously replied, Eating pancakes and jumping off cliffs.
