A section of road has been shut down after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near a prison close to Retford. Nottinghamshire Police reported that they responded to the incident on Straight Mile, adjacent to HMP Ranby, at 07:56 GMT on Monday following notifications of a serious accident.
Authorities confirmed that a portion of Straight Mile in Nottinghamshire remains closed. Drivers have been urged to find alternative routes while the investigation continues.
