Following the complication, Nicki was placed on life support as she awaited organ recipient matches, intended as her final act of generosity. Jay explained, "We will be saying our final goodbyes and removing her from the machines. My heart is shattered, and my world is obliterated."

Celebration of Life in Place of Funeral

He informed those who knew the couple that there would be no traditional funeral service.
