In Gloucestershire, approximately 80 businesses have achieved B Corp certification, reflecting a significant regional presence.

The brewery incorporates harvested rainwater for toilet facilities, reducing reliance on mains water. In financial operations, the company utilizes community loans rather than traditional bank financing. As a result, interest payments are directed back into the local community, reinforcing regional economic support.

Anna McLoughlin conducts her work from an off-grid studio powered by solar energy. She pursued B Corp certification to formally verify her adherence to ethical and environmentally responsible standards. Beechurst Serviced Apartments, located in The Reddings, Cheltenham, operates with a focus on sustainability. Managing Director Angie Petkovic confirmed that the business is powered by solar energy and sources 80 percent of its products from within a 25-mile radius. In addition to environmental measures, the company limits waste across operations and supports community initiatives through volunteering and mentoring young people. Petkovic stated that the company operates with a defined purpose beyond profit, with a clear commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible land management.

In June 2025, B Lab, the non-profit organization overseeing Certified B Corporations, faced criticism related to allegations of greenwashing and purpose washing among multinational companies. At that time, B Lab reported that more than 96 percent of certified businesses were small or medium-sized enterprises.
