QuikTrip is set to expand its car wash operations in St Louis, adding a stand alone facility near an existing gas station. The move aims to enhance service offerings while growing the brand presence across multiple states.
QuikTrip, the convenience store and fuel retailer, is planning to grow its stand-alone car wash operations in the St. Louis area. This effort is part of the company’s strategy to increase the presence of its car wash services in multiple states by situating new facilities close to existing QuikTrip stores.
Initial Site in North St. Louis County
The Oklahoma-based company has secured preliminary approval for the first local stand-alone car wash, branded as QuikTrip and Bubble Bath Carwash. The proposed site is adjacent to an operational QuikTrip gas station at 2791 Dunn Road in North St. Louis County. Currently, QuikTrip operates over 60 locations throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area, and the new project is intended to complement these established retail and fuel sites with additional services.
Planning Commission Endorsement
The St. Louis County Planning Commission has evaluated the proposal and recommended it for approval. The project plan includes both a car wash and a vehicle detailing facility. Final authorization from the St. Louis County Council is still required before construction can begin.
Site Specifications
According to county documentation, the proposed development will cover two adjacent parcels at 2777 and 2783 Dunn Road in unincorporated St. Louis County. Together, the properties span approximately 4.8 acres and currently contain unused structures, existing signage, a billboard, and an inactive vehicle storage area. If fully approved, the site will be redeveloped to host the new car wash and detailing operation associated with QuikTrip.
Integration Into Broader Expansion Plan
This North St. Louis County project is part of QuikTrip’s larger effort to expand its network of stand-alone car washes. By placing new car wash locations adjacent to existing convenience store and fuel stations, the company aims to broaden its service offerings while leveraging properties already linked to its retail operations.
