Gotham Awards 2025: Full Winners List (Live Updates)

As the 35th Gotham Awards approach, One Battle After Another dominates the nominations with a record six mentions. Anticipation builds to see if Paul Thomas Andersons latest film will secure the most wins of the night. The event is scheduled for Monday in New York City at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT, with live updates on winners as they are announced.

The films nominations include Best Feature, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and acting nods for Benicio Del Toro, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti. Notably, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn did not receive nominations.

This year marks an expansion of the Best Feature category from five to ten nominees, allowing space for films such as Hamnet, Bugonia, East of Wall, Familiar Touch, If I Had Legs Id Kick You, Lurker, Sorry, Baby, The Testament of Ann Lee, and Train Dreams.

Historically, Gothams Best Feature winners have gone on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture only six times in 21 years, including The Hurt Locker, Birdman, Spotlight, Moonlight, Nomadland, and Everything Everywhere All at Once. Thirteen winners were Oscar nominees during that period. Last years Gotham winner, A Different Man, was not recognized by the Academy, while the documentary No Other Land was the only repeat Oscar winner in 2024.

Special tribute awards are expected to honor Noah Baumbach (Director Tribute), Tessa Thompson (Spotlight Tribute), Guillermo del Toros Frankenstein (Vanguard Tribute), and the cast of Sinners (Ensemble Tribute).
