Kathy Griffin Responds to Lengthy Email from Andy Cohen, Her Former Enemy: 'Uncertain Future Ahead'

Comedian Kathy Griffin recently spoke candidly about her continued interactions with Andy Cohen. In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, Nov. 25, Griffin, 65, addressed Cohen's remarks at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas.

During the convention, Cohen, 57, was asked if reconciliation with Griffin was possible and mentioned that they had exchanged emails recently. Griffin offered insight into the "lengthy email" she received from the Watch What Happens Live host.

"It was definitely interesting," Griffin said. "I responded immediately, but Im not sure where this is heading. I have a lot of emotions because I still feel hurt in ways I dont think he fully comprehends."

Reflecting on Cohen's statements at BravoCon, Griffin added, "I appreciate him saying 'never say never.' I truly enjoyed working at Bravo and would love to do a special or even a series there again."

Griffins history with Bravo includes more than a dozen stand-up specials from 2004 to 2013 and hosting the late-night show Kathy from 2012 to 2013. She also led Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List for five years until its cancellation in 2010.

The comedian has been outspoken about her feud with Cohen since 2017, following her dismissal from a CNN New Years Eve special. The controversy arose after she posed with a Donald Trump mask covered in ketchup. Cohen appeared on CNN alongside Anderson Cooper during the fallout, later stating he didnt know Griffin personally when questioned by TMZ.

Griffin responded with a 17-minute YouTube video, while Cohen clarified on Watch What Happens Live that he had been quoting Mariah Carey in the TMZ interaction. In May 2018, Cohen told Howard Stern that he had moved on, saying, "Im at peace. Im a lover, not a fighter."

In subsequent interviews, Griffin expressed her frustrations with both Cohen and Cooper, describing Cohen as "one of the worst bosses" she ever had and recalling how Cooper distanced himself after the Trump mask controversy.

At Out Magazines Out100 event, Griffin reflected on her 2017 firing as "very triggering" and shared how her perspective on life and career has evolved. "Ive learned that people dont always change. I used to think I could influence someones perspective, but now I understand its important to accept differences," she said. She noted that even some Trump supporters who found the mask photo provocative now interact with her in a respectful manner.
