Kevin Spacey is expected to appear in a civil court in London in October 2026 to respond to sexual assault allegations brought by three men. The 66-year-old actor, who denies any misconduct, will attend the High Court proceedings, which are anticipated to last for three weeks.

The claimants allege that Spacey assaulted them at different times between 2000 and 2013. Two of the cases have been formally denied by Spacey, while he has not yet submitted a defense in the third case.

One of the men, Ruari Cannon, has chosen to waive his anonymity. He previously appeared in a 2024 documentary, Spacey Unmasked, claiming he was groped by Spacey at an afterparty at Londons Old Vic theater in 2013. Spacey has denied these allegations, describing them as "ridiculous and it never happened."

Another claimant, referred to as LNP, alleges that Spacey assaulted him multiple times over a five-year period from 2000 to 2005. A third individual, identified in court as GHI, claims he was assaulted in 2008 at the Old Vic, where Spacey once served as artistic director.

Spaceys legal team, led by William McCormick KC, has requested that the case involving LNP be heard separately, noting that the alleged incidents differ in nature and occurred years apart, with the only common factor being Spacey himself.

This civil case follows previous legal proceedings. In 2023, Spacey was acquitted of nine sexual assault charges in Londons Southwark Crown Court, while other initial charges were dismissed. Spacey became emotional as the verdicts were delivered and expressed gratitude to the jury for carefully reviewing all the evidence.

In addition to the court updates, Spacey addressed recent reports about his living situation. In November 2025, he clarified that he is not homeless, explaining in an Instagram video that he has been staying in hotels and Airbnbs while moving for work, responding to misinterpreted headlines from a Telegraph interview.

Author's Commentary: Kevin Spacey Civil Case Developments

The upcoming civil proceedings against Kevin Spacey in London mark a significant continuation of legal scrutiny surrounding the actor. Scheduled for October 2026, the High Court case will address sexual assault claims made by three men, with allegations spanning from 2000 to 2013.

Spacey has formally denied two of the claims and has not yet submitted a defense in the third. Notably, one claimant, Ruari Cannon, has publicly waived his anonymity, linking the allegations to events at the Old Vic theater in 2013. The other two claimants, referred to as LNP and GHI in court documents, allege assaults occurring over extended periods, with varying circumstances.

Spacey's legal team has requested separate hearings for some claims, emphasizing the distinct nature and timing of the alleged incidents. This civil case follows Spacey's 2023 acquittal on nine prior sexual assault charges, highlighting ongoing legal attention despite previous verdicts.

Additionally, Spacey has publicly addressed recent speculation regarding his living arrangements, clarifying that he has been staying in temporary accommodations while traveling for work. The combination of past acquittals, ongoing claims, and public statements frames a complex legal and public narrative for the actor.
