The model captures the ship's signature look and comes with a buildable display stand, an information placard, and nine minifigures representing the crew.

Author's Opinion: Lego's Black Friday Star Trek Set is a Must-Have for Fans

With the launch of the Lego Icons: Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, Lego has once again delivered a product that is sure to excite collectors and Star Trek enthusiasts alike. The $400 set, which features 3,600 pieces, brings the iconic starship to life in stunning detail. The addition of nine minifigures, each representing a beloved character from "The Next Generation," is a standout feature that only enhances the set's appeal. The thoughtfulness put into the design—particularly the removable components like the saucer section and shuttlepods—demonstrates Lego's commitment to quality and accuracy.

The Black Friday event is a smart move on Lego's part, offering attractive promotions for those eager to buy. The complimentary Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod with the Enterprise set is a welcome bonus, especially for collectors who want to expand their Star Trek Lego collection. Additionally, the limited-time freebies with higher purchases, like the Lego Hot Chocolate Stand and Mini Knight's Castle, create a sense of urgency, driving sales during this busy shopping season.

However, while the Enterprise set is the clear star of the promotion, Lego's broader Black Friday deals also deserve attention. Star Wars fans will find plenty of discounted sets, making this an event that caters to multiple fanbases. But the true highlight remains the collaboration with Star Trek, which has clearly struck a chord with both Lego collectors and fans of the long-running sci-fi franchise.

Given the high demand for this set, it is likely that the Enterprise will quickly become backordered, which could be frustrating for latecomers. Buyers should act fast if they want to secure their own piece of Star Trek history. The early launch of this set, ahead of the expected 2026 release date, means fans no longer have to wait. With Lego's commitment to both quality and fan engagement, it seems clear that this Black Friday event will go down as one of the most memorable in recent years.
