According to recently unsealed documents, a confrontation between Ryan Reynolds and Justin Baldoni reportedly took place with Taylor Swift present. The newly revealed timeline email in the ongoing case mentions the pop star alongside Reynolds, the Deadpool actor, and Baldoni, known for It Ends With Us.
The incident allegedly occurred in April 2023 at Reynolds and Blake Livelys penthouse in New York City. The dispute reportedly revolved around questions about a womans weight, with Swift acting as a witness rather than an active participant.
Details of the Confrontation
People reports that the email timeline from Wayfarer Studios states Reynolds confronted Baldoni, expressing how inappropriate it was to ask about a womans weight. The document claims Reynolds accused Baldoni of fat shaming Blake, with Baldoni responding with embarrassment, apologies, and even tears. Hugh Jackman is also listed as being present during the meeting.
Baldonis complaint quotes Reynolds as saying, How dare you fing ask about my wifes weight? Whats wrong with you? Lawyers for Baldoni noted that Reynolds issued multiple apologies during the intense exchange. However, Reynolds attorney described his behavior as angry, stern, and impassioned, but not as aggressive berating.
Swifts Involvement Clarified
Swifts representatives previously emphasized that she had no involvement in the film connected to Baldoni. Her team stated she never visited the set, was not part of casting or creative decisions, and her only connection was allowing the use of one song, My Tears Ricochet. The representative added that mentioning Swifts name in the case appeared to be aimed at attracting tabloid attention rather than reflecting the facts.
Ongoing Legal Proceedings
The broader dispute continues, with Blake Livelys lawsuit against Baldoni and others scheduled for trial in March 2026. A countersuit from Baldoni was dismissed. Swift and Jackman remain on a potential witness list, indicating the confrontation may be discussed during future court proceedings. Nevertheless, current documents continue to position Swift strictly as an observer.
