Report: Zachery Ty Bryan and his girlfriend arrested in Oregon for home improvement project

Actor Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role on Home Improvement, has been apprehended in Eugene, Oregon, marking his sixth arrest over the past five years. Jail records also indicate that his fiance, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, was taken into custody alongside him.

According to reports, Bryan was arrested on November 29 for allegedly violating probation related to a prior domestic violence conviction. Lane County Jail records show that he is being held without bail and is scheduled for release on Wednesday, December 3.

Cartwright faces multiple charges, including one count of driving under the influence, three counts of reckless endangerment, and one count of attempted first-degree assault. As of November 30, she remained in custody. It remains unclear whether either Bryan or Cartwright has retained legal representation.

This incident adds to a string of legal troubles for Bryan. Earlier this year, in January, he was charged with second-degree domestic violence in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Police reports indicated that a woman claimed he "choked her and punched her in the face multiple times." The report noted the couple lives together and shares children, who were later identified as their three children: daughter Kennedy and twins Parker and Sequoia.

Earlier in 2023, Bryan faced two DUI arrests, in February and October, along with charges including fourth-degree felony assault, third-degree robbery, and misdemeanor harassment. Lane County Chief Deputy District Attorney Chris Parosa confirmed that Bryan pleaded guilty to fourth-degree felony assault, classified as domestic violence, and received a sentence of seven days in jail plus 36 months of supervised probation, which is expected to continue until October 2026.
