'Sean Combs: The Reckoning' Premieres on Netflix Tomorrow: What to Expect from the Docuseries Produced by 50 Cent

Netflix is set to debut a four-part documentary series titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, executive produced by rapper 50 Cent. The series delves into the career and personal life of Sean Diddy Combs, focusing particularly on sexual abuse allegations and a high-profile lawsuit filed by R&B singer and Combss former partner Casandra Ventura in November 2023.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, collaborated with director Alexandria Stapleton to produce the series. Stapleton told Netflixs Tudum that Venturas courage to confront a major music mogul inspired the project, framing it as a cultural reflection on accountability and fairness in handling such allegations.

Combs was sentenced to four years in prison in October 2025 after being convicted of transporting women for drug-fueled sex marathons. A jury found the Bad Boy Records founder guilty on two counts related to transporting Ventura and another victim identified as Jane for prostitution.

Release Date and Episodes

Sean Combs: The Reckoning will premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, December 2, with all four episodes released simultaneously. Netflix describes the series as including intimate footage captured with Combss awareness in the six days leading to his arrest and indictment, during which he was under federal investigation.

The documentary will also feature interviews with figures such as Aubrey ODay of Danity Kane and jurors from Combss trial. Stapleton emphasizes that the series serves as a cautionary tale about idolizing celebrities, highlighting the human fallibility behind public personas.

Background on 50 Cent and Combs Rivalry

Jackson and Combs have maintained a public feud spanning two decades, beginning around 2006 after 50 Cent released a diss track accusing Combs of involvement in the 1997 murder of Notorious B.I.G. He has also implicated Combs in Tupac Shakurs 1996 death, claims Combs denies. Their rivalry has included disputes over competing vodka brands. Jackson has described his involvement in the docuseries as a continuation of his long-standing commitment to speaking his perspective on these matters.

50 Cents Role and Perspective

As executive producer, 50 Cent frames the docuseries as a pursuit of authentic storytelling. He expressed gratitude toward those who shared their experiences and praised Stapleton for bringing the story to the screen. Jackson emphasized the importance of speaking out against Combss actions to prevent cultural normalization of such behavior.

He also expressed confidence that Combs would recognize the truth of the series if he watched it, even if he disagreed with certain elements.

Combs Response

Sean Combs has publicly criticized the series, calling it a shameful hit piece. He accused Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos of a personal breach of trust and claimed the teaser shown on Good Morning America used footage without authorization. Combs argued that the platform is exploiting his life for sensationalism and that Jackson, a longtime rival, should not have been given creative control over the project.
