Hayley Williams is establishing firm boundaries for her 2026 solo tour. The Paramore lead singer, who recently added extra dates due to overwhelming demand, emphasized that her concerts are intended as explicitly welcoming spaces. She also made it clear that attendees with discriminatory attitudes should not expect to feel at home.
In a recent interview with Clash, Williams explained that she wants her shows to be a space where every fan can feel welcome to the party. At the same time, she stressed that this commitment involves taking a stand on who is not welcome. I dont want racists around, and I dont want sexist people around, and I dont want people there who think that trans people are a burden, Williams stated. Thats a hard line for me now.
Williams hopes that anyone entering the venue will understand the inclusive spirit of the tour. All are welcome if you believe all should be welcome If you dont believe that, youre not welcome, she added, reinforcing her stance on inclusivity and community.
The tour supports her latest solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. The North American leg begins on March 28 in Atlanta and includes stops in Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, Oakland, Los Angeles, and more, before continuing to the UK and Europe in June 2026.
Williams has consistently used her platform to advocate for equality, particularly in her native Tennessee. Last year, she declined an official state honor and criticized the states Republican leadership for what she described as blatant racism, encouraging young people to vote with equality in mind. Throughout her career, Williams has also spoken openly about facing sexism. In 2022, she avoided playing guitar on stage to escape derisive comments, and in 2023 she addressed backlash after postponing Paramore shows due to illness, highlighting online harassment and clarifying the norms within the rock community.
Hayley Williams Stands Firm on Inclusivity for 2026 Solo Tour
Hayley Williams has made her position clear ahead of her upcoming 2026 solo tour. The Paramore frontwoman is setting firm boundaries regarding who is welcome at her shows. In a recent interview, Williams emphasized that her concerts will be safe, inclusive spaces where every fan can feel they belong. However, she also took the opportunity to stress that those with discriminatory views will not be tolerated.
"I don’t want racists around, and I don’t want sexist people around, and I don’t want people there who think that trans people are a burden," Williams stated. This unambiguous stance is a reflection of her commitment to inclusivity—one that directly challenges exclusionary attitudes. She further reinforced this message by declaring that anyone who does not share these values is unwelcome at her shows: "All are welcome if you believe all should be welcome… If you don’t believe that, you’re not welcome." Her statement is a reminder that inclusion is not just a passive expectation but an active stance she is unwilling to compromise on.
This clear message is in line with Williams’ longstanding advocacy for equality. Known for her outspoken support for marginalized communities, particularly in her home state of Tennessee, she has repeatedly used her platform to challenge bigotry. Last year, she rejected an official state honor due to the state’s leadership, accusing them of fostering a culture of racism. Furthermore, she has been candid about her own experiences with sexism in the music industry, including facing harassment when playing guitar and the fallout from Paramore’s postponed shows in 2023.
The 2026 tour, in support of her album "Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party," kicks off in March in Atlanta and will span North America before heading to the UK and Europe in June. For Williams, this tour is more than just a series of performances; it’s a platform to continue advocating for values of equality, respect, and acceptance.
