Bondi orders investigation into U.S. groups for alleged domestic terrorism

WASHINGTON, Dec 4 U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has instructed federal law enforcement to intensify investigations into the anti-fascist movement Antifa and other comparable "extremist organizations." She also requested that the FBI create a roster of groups potentially involved in domestic terrorism, according to a confidential memo obtained by Reuters.

The directive, sent to prosecutors and federal law enforcement offices, emphasizes that the Justice Department should give high priority to probing and prosecuting domestic terrorism activities. This includes examining potential tax violations by extremist groups that may have defrauded the Internal Revenue Service.

"These domestic extremists employ violence or threats of violence to push political and social agendas, including resistance to law enforcement and immigration policies; strong advocacy for mass migration and open borders; adherence to radical gender ideologies, anti-American sentiments, anti-capitalist views, or anti-Christian positions," Bondi stated.

She further instructed that the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Forces focus on investigating these activities. Federal agencies were also ordered to review their records for any intelligence related to Antifa groups and share relevant information with investigators.
