CEO Gazes Upwards, Possibly Longing for Rapture as President Continues Anti-Immigrant Rhetoric

During a White House meeting on Wednesday, President Donald Trump launched an intense critique of Somali immigrants, leaving one CEO visibly uncomfortable. The gathering, which included auto industry leaders such as Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa, quickly turned tense as Trump spoke.

In the session, Trump announced his plan to roll back fuel-efficiency standards established under the previous administration, describing them as "horrible." The discussion then shifted when a reporter referenced Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey's reaction to Trumps recent comments about Somali immigrants.

Trump had previously targeted Somali-American Representative Ilhan Omar and criticized Somali immigrants broadly, claiming they "do nothing but complain." When a reporter began mentioning the Minneapolis mayors pride in the citys Somali community, Trump interrupted and continued his scathing remarks.

Throughout the tirade, Filosa appeared increasingly uneasy, fidgeting, adjusting his tie, and eventually looking upward, seemingly lost in thought, for the final moments of the speech. Trumps remarks included sweeping condemnations of Somali immigrants, claims about Ilhan Omars background, and accusations that Somali communities had harmed Minnesota.

Trump described the state as a "hellhole," criticized local leadership, and expressed disdain for Somali immigrants, suggesting they had destroyed the country. He emphasized that newcomers should cherish and respect the United States, asserting that the Somali community in Minnesota failed to do so.

Following the comments, Ilhan Omar responded, calling Trumps focus on her creepy and stating that he needs help.
