'Daily Show' Criticizes Trump's Ridiculous Building Makeover In A 'Wonderful' Way

On Thursday, "The Daily Show" correspondent Jordan Klepper sharply mocked President Donald Trump after the U.S. Institute of Peace was renamed to honor him. The State Department confirmed the renaming on social media, stating that the new title commemorates "the greatest dealmaker in our nations history." Along with the announcement, the department posted a photo showing Trump's name on the building's exterior. The independent nonprofit, which receives funding from Congress, was originally established by President Ronald Reagan in 1984.

Klepper reminded viewers that this agency was among the first targeted for closure by the Trump administration earlier this year. "But now it seems hes had a change of heart and wall," Klepper joked, introducing CNN coverage of the renaming.

He also highlighted the absurdity of the makeover, calling it "simply wonderful." Klepper added, "The Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace? I look forward to seeing it next to the Benjamin Netanyahu Bureau of Urban Planning and the RFK Jr. School for Singing."
