Fact Check: No, the SEC Is Not Investigating 10 Democrats, Including Joe Biden, for Securities Fraud or Insider Trading -- It's Satire.

There is no investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission targeting 10 Democrats, including former President Joe Biden, for securities fraud or insider trading. No evidence supports claims that any of the individuals depicted in the viral post are under SEC scrutiny.

The false claim originated from a satirical Facebook page that clearly carried a disclaimer indicating its content was meant as humor. This page is known for creating fictitious posts designed to mislead certain audiences into sharing them. The specific Facebook post, published on December 1, 2025, falsely stated that ten Democrats, including Joe Biden, were being investigated for fraud and insider trading, claiming there was a mountain of evidence against them.

Lead Stories confirmed through Google searches that no SEC investigations exist for any of the ten figures pictured, which included Biden, Senator Cory Booker, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, former Vice President Kamala Harris, Senators Amy Klobuchar and Bernie Sanders, billionaire Tom Steyer, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and businessman Andrew Yang. Google AI results also confirmed there were no records of such probes.

The shared image displayed a logo from the satirical page America's Last Line of Defense stating, Nothing on this page is real. The homepage of this account notes that it is the flagship of the ALLOD network of trollery and propaganda for cash and openly admits that its content is fictional.

The page is operated by Christopher Blair, also known as Busta Troll, a self-described liberal from Maine who has long created networks of websites and social media pages aimed at tricking conservative audiences into sharing fabricated stories. Blair has been described by the BBC as the Godfather of fake news for his prolific creation of disinformation. His network primarily targets conservative readers with sensationalized headlines designed to provoke outrage and engagement, often resulting in widespread sharing of false content.
