The administration associated with MAGA is aiming to reduce the number of in-person visits to Social Security Administration (SSA) offices by more than 50% before the conclusion of the current fiscal year.
During the period from October 2024 through September 2025, approximately 31 million beneficiaries reportedly visited SSA field offices nationwide, according to NextGov/FCW, a publication focused on technology in the federal government.
Documents reviewed by the outlet indicate that the SSA now intends to lower this figure to no more than 15 million by the end of September 2025.
