Kamala Harris and Tim Walz Reunite as Mike Lindell Attempts to Unseat Governor: ‘We Need Your Help’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who ran together in the 2024 presidential election, are teaming up again in a fundraising effort for Walzs upcoming reelection campaign. A recent email described their reunion as together again while soliciting contributions.
Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow and known for promoting election conspiracy theories in 2020, submitted paperwork to enter the Minnesota gubernatorial race. Lindell, however, has not committed fully, stating he will make a final announcement on December 11, according to The Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The following day, Harriss email subscribers received a message portraying a fictional conversation between her and Walz. The exchange begins with Walz saying, Hi, Tim Walz here, followed by Harris replying, Kamala too. Walz continues, Together again, and later mentions, Trump loyalist and election denier Mike Lindell just jumped into the race against me for Governor of Minnesota.
The email then transitions to a fundraising request, urging supporters to split a contribution between my reelection campaign and Kamalas work elevating the next generation of leadership in America.
While Harris and Walz narrowly lost the popular vote in 2024, they were unsuccessful in winning any swing states.
Analysis: Harris and Walz Reunite as Minnesota Race Draws National Attention
In my view, the renewed collaboration between Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz reflects an effort to mobilize the political network they built during the 2024 presidential campaign. Their joint fundraising message, framed as a reunion, directly links Walz’s reelection bid with Harris’s ongoing political activities and outreach to future party leaders.
I note that the timing of the message coincides with the entry of MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell into the Minnesota gubernatorial race. Although Lindell has only filed initial paperwork and says he will make a final decision in December, his presence in the race is already being used by Walz’s campaign to energize supporters and attract donations.
The fundraising email itself combines political messaging with campaign financing, presenting a scripted exchange between Harris and Walz before urging supporters to split contributions between Walz’s reelection effort and Harris’s political initiatives.
At the same time, the context of the 2024 election remains relevant. Harris and Walz previously ran together on the national ticket but lost the popular vote and failed to secure any swing states. Their renewed cooperation now appears focused on strengthening political support at the state level while maintaining a broader national profile.
