Officials from the Trump administration are set to address the media Thursday afternoon following the FBIs arrest in connection with the nearly five-year investigation into the placement of pipe bombs near the Democratic and Republican national committee offices in 2021.
This development represents the latest progress in the inquiry regarding the incident that occurred the evening prior to the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. The FBI has not released further details about the individual apprehended.
The briefing will feature Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro. It is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. EST.
