Live streaming: House Democrats focus on Trump's healthcare and affordability

The focus will be on rising healthcare costs, increasing prices, and overall affordability challenges facing Americans.

President Trump has dismissed the focus on affordability, labeling it a Democratic con job, even as the issue gained attention after Democratic victories in the 2025 elections and during the recent government shutdown. Despite inflation and uncertainties tied to his trade strategies, the president continues to promote his economic achievements.

Jeffries and other leading Democrats have also criticized the administration and Republican lawmakers over the looming expiration of healthcare subsidies provided under the Affordable Care Act. Lawmakers remain doubtful about achieving a bipartisan resolution before the Christmas deadline.
