Melania Trump has introduced a new way to monetize her memoir by releasing a Spanish-language version of her audiobook for $25. This seven-hour recording uses an AI-generated voice to narrate her New York Times-bestselling book, Melania.

The English version, also AI-narrated, was released earlier in May, with Trump calling it the future of publishing. Spanish-speaking audiences can now hear stories from her life, including her family's history as onion growers in the former Yugoslavia, a controversial royal encounter in Saudi Arabia, a mix-up with the Pope over pizza, and her dislike of raw fish.

Speaking to Fox News, she said, Today, we launch the very first foreign-language version of my audiobook, beginning with Espaol, built with artificial intelligence.

Although Melania has claimed fluency in English, Italian, French, German, and her native Slovenian, she does not appear to speak Spanish. Her announcement emphasizes that the audiobook release responds to the enthusiasm and heartfelt requests of Spanish-speaking fans.

The new audiobook comes amid her husbands administration intensifying deportations, a policy affecting many Spanish-speaking immigrants in the U.S. Trump highlighted the Spanish-speaking communitys role in inspiring the project and described the memoirs creation as an amazing journey, filled with emotional highs and lows.

It remains uncertain whether a Spanish version of MELANIA, a documentary film based on the book set to release on January 30, 2026, will be available in U.S. cinemas.

Analysis: Melania Trump's New Audiobook Release and Its AI Narration

Melania Trump’s decision to release a Spanish-language version of her audiobook, narrated by an AI-generated voice, marks a significant moment in the world of publishing. Priced at $25, this seven-hour recording offers listeners a glimpse into her life, including her family’s background in the former Yugoslavia and notable encounters. The decision to use artificial intelligence for narration, something Melania has called “the future of publishing,” not only provides a modern twist but also highlights the growing trend of AI integration in various creative industries.

Although Melania claims fluency in multiple languages, including Slovenian and Italian, the fact that she does not speak Spanish has raised questions. Nonetheless, her statement about releasing the audiobook in response to "enthusiastic and heartfelt requests" from Spanish-speaking audiences adds a personal touch to the project. It is clear that the release is aimed at broadening her reach within this demographic, especially as her husband's administration has faced criticism for its immigration policies affecting Spanish-speaking communities.

The timing of the audiobook release is particularly noteworthy, coinciding with rising tensions surrounding immigration in the U.S. The connection between the Spanish-speaking community and the memoir could be seen as both a business strategy and a response to current social dynamics. However, questions remain regarding the availability of a Spanish-language version of the upcoming documentary, "MELANIA," set to release in 2026. Will this extend to wider global markets, or will it remain an exclusive experience for English-speaking audiences? Time will tell.
