Pentagon reports four men killed in another boat strike in the Pacific

On Thursday, the Pentagon confirmed that the US Southern Command carried out another lethal operation targeting a boat allegedly transporting illegal drugs, resulting in the deaths of four men in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

A video documenting the strike was released on social media by the Florida-based Southern Command. In an official statement, it was noted that, under the direction of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear executed a precision strike on a vessel in international waters operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization.

The statement further explained that intelligence had verified the vessel was moving along a known drug-trafficking route in the Eastern Pacific while carrying illicit narcotics. Four male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were neutralized, it added.

This incident occurs amid ongoing scrutiny by the Pentagon and the White House regarding the legality of military strikes aimed at suspected drug traffickers. US lawmakers have pledged to examine the previous attack in September, which resulted in the deaths of two survivors from the wreckage during a follow-up strike.
