Karoline Leavitt, the Press Secretary for President Donald Trump, has quietly been a devoted fan of Taylor Swift. The 28-year-old shared her Spotify Wrapped on social media on Wednesday, December 3, revealing her top five artists of 2025: Morgan Wallen, Forrest Frank, Brandon Lake, Anne Wilson, and notably, Taylor Swift.

In her Instagram Story, Leavitt added a cowboy hat, a cross, and a music note emoji alongside her music preferences. This comes despite President Trumps well-known criticism of Swift over the years.

The former president, 79, has previously expressed his disdain for the singer on social media, noting changes in her popularity since his comments. When questioned about Trumps remarks, Leavitt told Fox News Peter Doocy that her bosss opinions were related to Swifts political stances rather than her music.

Fans and critics reacted with amusement to Leavitts confession, with many noting her surprisingly eclectic taste in music.

Commentary: Karoline Leavitt’s Musical Choice

Karoline Leavitt, Press Secretary for President Donald Trump, revealed her top music picks for 2025, including Taylor Swift. This disclosure stands out given President Trump’s public criticism of Swift in the past.

Leavitt clarified that her musical preferences are separate from political opinions, emphasizing that the former president’s critiques relate to Swift’s political positions rather than her artistry.

The response from the public has been largely lighthearted, highlighting the contrast between Leavitt’s personal taste and the administration’s political stances. This instance underscores the separation individuals maintain between personal interests and professional affiliations.
