Trump agrees to release video of second strike on suspected drug vessel

President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that his administration would definitely make public the video of a follow-up strike on a suspected drug-smuggling vessel in the Caribbean, after the initial attack did not eliminate all people on board.

Im not sure exactly what footage exists, but whatever there is, wed certainly release it, no issue, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. Each vessel we stop helps save thousands of American lives.

Trump had already shared footage of the first strike on his Truth Social platform shortly after the September 2 operation.

When asked whether he approved targeting survivors in a second strike, Trump clarified, No, my focus is on neutralizing the vessels and those operating them. Most of the crews are gone, but anyone controlling those boats is responsible for endangering Americans.

Questions regarding whether Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth or Adm. Frank Mitch Bradley, identified by the administration as responsible for ordering the second strike, should face consequences, were dismissed by Trump.

This is war. These people were threatening our citizens on a massive scale, he said. There is strong support for the approach were taking, removing these vessels. Soon, similar actions will extend to land operations as well.
