Dak Prescott and the Cowboys face double setback on Monday

The Dallas Cowboys ended November on a high note with three consecutive wins, improving their record to 6-5-1 in the 2025 NFL season after a narrow 31-28 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day. As the team looks to maintain playoff contention, they prepare to face the Detroit Lions in Week 14's "Thursday Night Football."

Prescott delivered another strong performance against last season's Super Bowl runners-up, completing 27 of 39 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Wide receiver George Pickens continued to shine in his first season with Dallas, catching six passes for 88 yards.

However, the Cowboys faced challenges on the injury front. Left tackle Tyler Guyton, who suffered a high ankle sprain during Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles, did not participate in Monday's practice. While head coach Brian Schottenheimer noted some improvement, Guyton remains sidelined.

Adding to the team's concerns, George Pickens was listed as a limited participant due to calf and knee issues. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney also did not practice, and cornerback Trevon Diggs, out the last six games, participated in a limited capacity.

Tommy Yarrish, a Cowboys staff writer, shared the update on X: "First practice report of the week for the #Cowboys - Jadeveon Clowney, Tyler Guyton both DNP - George Pickens, Trevon Diggs limited."

The upcoming matchup will see Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions host Dak Prescott and the Cowboys on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET at Ford Field. The game will be broadcast on Amazon.
