In Japan, a swan unexpectedly interrupted operations on the famed Shinkansen high-speed rail network. A train operator noticed the bird on the tracks in Miyagi Prefecture, in the country's northeast, and managed to stop the train just in time, ensuring the animal remained unharmed.
The incident caused delays for three Shinkansen services, impacting roughly 1,300 travelers, according to local reports. The Shinkansen system is celebrated for its rapid speeds, reaching up to 330 kilometers per hour, as well as its remarkable punctuality and safety record.
