Emergency services responded to a fire at a neglected bungalow on Fairmile Road, close to Christchurch Hospital in Dorset, just before 19:20 GMT on Thursday. Traffic restrictions were enforced as firefighters from seven stations worked for two hours to bring the flames under control.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The blaze was fully extinguished by 21:30 GMT. Fire officials returned the following morning to conduct a thorough inspection of the property.
The local fire service confirmed that the bungalow had been abandoned for some time.
