Marine killed during training exercise at Camp Pendleton

LOS ANGELES A U.S. Marine lost their life on Wednesday during a training session at Camp Pendleton, located in Southern California, military representatives reported. The fatality resulted from injuries sustained in what was described as a tactical vehicle accident in the afternoon, according to a statement from the I Marine Expeditionary Force.

The identity of the Marine has not been disclosed, and authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials emphasized that the death was unrelated to Steel Knight, the large-scale annual training exercise that commenced on the base on Monday.

The I Marine Expeditionary Force, based along the coast of San Diego County, is the largest among the three Marine expeditionary forces.
