Police Catch Suspect of Chevy Corvette Theft After Sharing Video of Himself Doing Donuts

A 21-year-old man has been taken into custody after allegedly stealing a Chevrolet Corvette and sharing footage of himself performing donuts in the vehicle on social media, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after midnight on November 29. A deputy on patrol noticed a black C6 Corvette spinning in circles at an intersection. The driver fled before the deputy could intervene, prompting a sergeant to join the pursuit. Despite their efforts, the Corvette managed to escape once again, with other nearby jurisdictions reporting similar evasive maneuvers that officers could not intercept.

Approximately an hour later, deputies found a Corvette matching the description parked in a residential driveway. A man answered the door, claiming that a friend had left the vehicle there. Authorities then reviewed the mans social media account and discovered a video showing the Corvette performing donuts alongside a New Edge Ford Mustang GT. This led to the suspect's arrest.

The individual now faces charges including eluding police, possession of a stolen vehicle, and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Police also reported that the suspect had outstanding warrants in another area for reckless driving and illegal speed exhibitions.
