Exploring the 2025 White House Christmas Decor: A Lego Trump Portrait, ‘Be Best’ Ornaments, Butterfly Decor and Beyond

After celebrating Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago with President Donald Trump and their family, First Lady Melania Trump has revealed the White Houses 2025 Christmas dcor. This years theme, "Home Is Where the Heart Is", fills the residence with festive details, including 75 wreaths, 51 Christmas trees, and over 700 feet of garland.

Designer and stylist Herv Pierre guided the creative direction. Among the standout features are two Lego portraitsone of George Washington and one of President Trumpeach assembled from more than 6,000 bricks and displayed in the Green Room.

In the State Dining Room, guests will find a detailed gingerbread model of the White House weighing roughly 120 pounds. According to spokesperson Nick Clemens, the confection is technically edible, though visitors are asked not to sample it.

One of the most memorable rooms is the Red Room, where garlands, wreaths, and a Christmas tree shimmer with 10,000 blue butterflies. The butterflies symbolize transformation and renewal and appear alongside ornaments that reference the First Ladys Be Best initiative.

The official centerpiece tree for the season is an 18-foot white fir from Korsons Tree Farms in Michigan. Decorated with 2,800 stars honoring military Gold Star families, it is prominently displayed in the Blue Room.

Despite the ongoing construction of the $300 million White House Ballroom, the mansion remains open for holiday tours. Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to walk through the Grand Foyer, Entrance Hall, East Room, Green Room, Blue Room, Red Room, and State Dining Room to view the seasonal displays.
