Influencer Indy Clinton Responds to Accusations of Looking Unwell at TikTok Awards

TikTok star Indy Clinton attended the 2025 TikTok Awards on November 26 in Sydney, Australia. After the event, she faced backlash over her red-carpet behavior, with some viewers commenting on her appearance and demeanor.

One TikTok user wrote, U literally looked cracked out on the carpet at tt awards girl! In response, Clinton posted a video addressing the criticism, saying, I hate when people spread untrue things about me. She explained that a video circulating online showed her on the red carpet, which may have contributed to the misunderstandings.

Clinton clarified the circumstances surrounding the footage, stating, I had been working every day and every night for the last two weeks, so I'm extremely tired. Overwhelmed tired. Burnt out. She emphasized that she arrived at the awards very late, just minutes before the red carpet closed. They really wanted to rush me through because the awards were about to start, she said.

She described the chaotic scene, noting that photographers were arguing with each other while trying to follow different instructions. Then they start fighting in front of me, thats why I go, I feel so wanted. Because it was so awkward, Clinton explained. That's why I look so frantic. I had no idea who to look at and where.

Due to her late arrival, Clinton only participated in two interviews before posing for photos. During one interview, she was asked about the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, which celebrates imperfections. Clinton admitted she was unfamiliar with the term and instead pointed to her nose, saying internally she didnt want to discuss ita reference to her recent nose surgery that received criticism earlier this year.

She recalled, I dont want to talk about that. Ive just spent all afternoon getting ready. I feel good. I didnt want to talk about it. There are so many other things we can talk about. Clinton then shared her own interpretation of Wabi-Sabi using her off-center middle part.

Clinton admitted feeling overwhelmed by the event and concluded, I really was just overwhelmed. Then I was like, I dont want to be here.

Earlier in 2025, Clinton underwent a nose procedure and faced criticism from some TikTok users. She explained that her surgery involved only minor adjustments and that she had wanted subtle fixes after a previous injury in 2020.
